It was about time

First: I helped compile this book -- and it was a pleasure. I've read Rick Reynolds' blog for years, and it was about time that his best posts be gathered into a book. His amazing writing sticks with you (e.g., "Aunt Rhoda" and the "Intoxicated Evangelist," to name just two) -- and you won't think about the homeless and mentally ill the same way again.

Something to think about

Rick Reynolds is a hero to many in Seattle, but he never seems to see himself that way. His writing is always humble, and at times self-deprecating. It shines a light on the humanity of the writer and his subjects, and will leave you with a lot to ponder.
